Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Lora Foster Rode

Lora Foster Rode, DDS | Pediatric Dentist

Hello, I’m Dr. Lora. I grew up in Fair Oaks and then went to school in San Luis Obispo, Los Angeles and Cincinnati. I am so happy to be back and reconnect with people in the Sacramento area. Many of my patients are children of my friends from high school or college and I feel so special to be able to give them healthy, happy smiles. My husband and I have two beautiful kids, Elyse and Andrew as well as our English Cream Golden Retriever named Ruby. If you want to hear a funny story, ask me about Ruby’s latest adventures.

I am a Board Certified Pediatric Specialist and certified in CPR.

What is the best part about working at RPD?

Dress up days! I get to laugh, have fun and act silly while I remove sugar bugs from teeth.

What is the most awesome thing you’ve ever seen?

In 2006 I went to Malawi, Africa on a dental mission trip for 3 weeks. Most of my patients had never seen a dentist before and many were children. The kids wore their very best cloths and took their shoes off before getting in the dental chair, I never asked them to do that! They sat so still and were so cooperative while I fixed their teeth. They wouldn’t move, even if a fly was buzzing around and landing on them. We communicated through a translator and they were so thankful and respectful, saying, “I am so much healthier now that you fixed my teeth,” with a big smile on their face.

Dr. Jessica Alt

Jessica Alt, DDS | Pediatric Dentist

Welcome! I am Dr. Jessi. I was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada and graduated with my B.S. degree from the University of Nevada, Reno. Go Wolfpack! I was lucky enough to attend dental school at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California and absolutely fell in love with beautiful Northern California. In order to pursue my dream of becoming a pediatric dentist, I completed a post-doctorate pediatric dental residency at Lutheran Medical Center in Providence, RI and have since become a Board Certified Specialist in Pediatric Dentistry.

My husband, Brian, and I have a vibrant eight-year-old daughter named June and a sweet six-year-old son named Bo. We love to get out and enjoy the outdoors with family and friends in our free time.

I am a Board Certified Pediatric Specialist and certified in CPR.

What is the best part about working at RPD?

I love to see the sweet smiles on our patients faces each day, but I also love helping a nervous, timid child overcome their dental fears. To see them feel accomplished and proud of themselves is the most rewarding part of being a pediatric dentist.

Dr. Brett Martin

Brett Martin, DDS | Pediatric Dentist

Hello, I'm Dr. Brett. I was born and raised in Folsom and graduated from Casa Roble High School.  I then graduated with a B.S. in biological sciences from UC Davis and completed my dental school at UCLA. While volunteering at Give Kids a Smile and an underserved pediatric dental clinic, I found my passion for pediatric dentistry.  I completed my pediatric specialty training at UCSF, where I also received a M.S. degree in oral and craniofacial biology.

Besides being an avid Sacramento Kings and SF Giants fan, I could not be more excited to be back in Sacramento with my family and friends. My wife and I also recently welcomed our 2nd baby boy, Jackson, in October 2022. We are thrilled to add an additional member to the RPD family!

I am a Board Certified Pediatric Specialist and certified in CPR.
